Israel: Palmach Har'el Brigade(?) War of Independence campaign badge, c. 1948-49; not maker-marked; size: 20 x 25mm; weight: 1.85g. Although pin does not identify a specific unit & only bears legend "Palmach" at base, design is very similar to those used by 4th & 5th Battalions of Harel Brigade, which served in the Jerusalem area - and this depicts winding road through the hills to Jerusalem. As does not reference specific unit, it is probably a brigade-wide emblem issued to the Harel brigade.
