Landscapes of Israel was a definitive series which for a long time served to send mail. Since 1970, the Israeli postal service issued the series to match the postage at the time. Over the years, additional postage stamps of the series were issued according to changes in the postage. The postage stamps were used for sending letters of all types: regular, registered, abroad, and more. The series itself was nice and collectors as well as the general public liked it since it expressed the landscapes of our beloved country. As a result, there were recurring printings which generated an abundance of changes and variants such as changes in dates of printing, type of paper used, type of glue, phosphor bands, the margins and more. One of the greatest collectors collected all these. He bought sheet after sheet, pair after pair, adding to his collection every significant variant. He invested thousands of hours and a lot of money to add the most unique items to his collection. For example, the collection contains a single item that was bought in one of the leading auction houses for $2900. The collection contains items that are most likely the only one of their type in the world. The collector did not only add the best items to his collection but built a methodical collection which misses nothing! The collection is accompanied by detailed explanatory leaves containing a precise description of the items. The collection is thus built as a fascinating lecture on the subject. Six huge albums with an infinite number of items which actually constitute a fascinating series of books. Condition: Very Good. מנוף הארץ – אוסף מקצועי – כפי הנראה הטוב ביותר בעולם - מדהים ויקר ערך באיכותו ענקי בכמותו כל ההדפסות, סוגי הנייר, שינויי הזרחן כולל פריטים יחידניים – בשישה אלבומים מפוארים מחולקים למחלקות ומלווים בהסברים – לא נראה כמותו מעולם! רקע: מנוף הארץ הייתה סדרה מן המניין ששימשה בפועל למשלוח מכתבים במשך תקופה ארוכה. משנת 1970 החל הדואר להנפיק את הסדרה בערכים המותאמים לתעריפי הדואר באותו הזמן. במשך השנים יצאו בולים נוספים בסדרה בהתאם לשינויי התעריפים. הבולים שימשו למשלוח מכתבים מכל הסוגים כגון: רגיל, רשום, לחו"ל ועוד. הסדרה עצמה הייתה יפה מאוד וקהל האספנים והקהל הרחב אהב אותה מפני שביטאה את נופיה של הארץ הטובה והיפה, ארץ ישראל. כתוצאה מכך היו הדפסות חוזרות ונשנות שיצרו שפע של שינויים ווריאנטים. שינויים בתאריכי ההדפסה, בסוגי הנייר, בסוגי הדבק, בזרחנים, וגם בהדפסות עצמן כגון בשוליים ועוד. כאן ישנו כר נרחב לאספנים. אחד מגדולי האספנים עסק בכך במשך שנים רבות. הוא אסף גיליון לגיליון, צמדה לצמדה כאשר לא ויתר על אף שינוי משמעותי. הוא השקיע אלפי שעות והרבה מאוד כסף, ולא ויתר אף על הפריטים היחידניים, שאין להשיג כמותם כלל. באוסף ישנו למשל, פריט בודד שנקנה באחד מבתי המכירות המובילים ב2900$, ועוד פריטים יקרי ערך ביותר שיתכן מאוד שהם יחידים בעולם. האספן לא הסתפק במציאת הפריטים הטובים ביותר אלא בנה אוסף שיטתי שלא יחסר בו דבר! האוסף מלווה בדפי הסבר מפורטים ברמה הכי גבוהה עם תיאור מדוייק של הפריטים השונים. האוסף בנוי כהרצאה מרתקת של הנושא כולו, מחלקה אחרי מחלקה ופריט אחרי פריט. שישה אלבומים ענקיים עם פריטים רבים מאוד מלספור שמהווים, למעשה, סדרת ספרים מרתקת הבנויה לתלפיות. לפריטים הרבים והנפלאים הקדים האספן הקדמה מרתקת שבה דברי מבוא על הסדרה, מפתח וביאור המושגים הבולאיים שמשמשים את האוסף. בין השאר הוא מסביר שם את השימוש בזרחנים השונים בדואר בסדרה זו לפי הערכים וההדפסות השונות. הוא מסביר שם מתי היה שימוש בפס זרחן אחד, מתי בשניים ומתי הונפקו בולים ללא זרחנים כלל. מתברר שיש שיטיות ומחשבה רבה מאחורי הדברים. האוסף כולו נמצא בשישה אלבומים גדולים ומפוארים בקופסאות תואמות של "לינדר". כפי הנראה מעולם לא נראה אוסף של מנוף הארץ או של סדרה אחרת מן המניין, כל כך שיטתי, מושקע, מקצועי, מרהיב ועם פריטים כל כך יקרי ערך. כולל מאות גליונות וצמדות. כדאי לבוא ולראות. נא להכין הרבה זמן ולצפות לכמה שעות של הנאה צרופה. הקונה ודאי מובטחות לו מאות שעות כאלו. מצב: טוב מאוד! king David Auction Auction 6 Special and rare items Postal history in Israel in the late 19th and early 20th centuries	In order to view Prices please Login or Join

On the reverse side of the postcard, a red stamp of "Otto Fischer". Nice, clean stamps and postmarks It is possible this is the firm of Otto Fischer on whose lands the Templar neighborhood of Haifa was built. Otto Fischer was a German who assisted the Templars in their first attempts to settle in the land of Israel. He gave them, free of charge, land for building the Templar neighborhood of Haifa – Sarona. Either the postcard refers to his firm or there was another rich German named Otto Fischer who lived in Haifa [and who most likely was a Templar]. Requires additional study! Lot 193 - Postal history in Israel in the late 19th and early 20th centuries - king David Auction Auction 6 Special and rare items The Mejuajaim, 2009 – a Complete Series of 8 Sheets in Excellent Condition In February 2009, the seriest of "Mejuajaim" postage stamps was issued as part of an initiative to promote stamp collection among children and youth. These were leaves with stickers for children, who collected them in an album. Among those who completed the album there was a lottery, the first prize being 3 days in Disnyland Park in Paris for two children and an adult. However, the stickers were actually postage stamps of the "Ha'Bul Sheli" (My Stamp) series. The sheets were issued by the Israeli Postal Authority and could be used to send mail. Because they were designated for children, collectors and even traders paid them no heed. Lot 177 - Postal history in Israel in the late 19th and early 20th centuries - king David Auction Auction 6 Numismatics and rare stamps The Austrian Postal Service, Jaffa, 1897 – a Rare Registered Letter [the Only One in the World?] that was Sent by One of the First Zionist Leaders and Representative of the Land of Israel in the First Zionist Congress [!] Dr. Heinrich Loewe in the Few Months He had Lived in the Land of Israel during the Late 19th Century – Autograph – Nice, Complete Postmarks – a Special Item for Collectors of Zionist and Israeli Philatelic Items On the envelope, a yellow label of registered post: jaffa osterr. Post R. No. 347. The postage stamp is glued on the reverse side of the envelope and has a full, clean postmark – two circles – of the Austrian post office of Jaffa. Date: 8.6.97 On the envelope, autographic writing of Dr. Heinrich us two languages: German and Ottoman! On the reverse side of the envelope, his typewritten name and address in Jaffa, Palestine. This is most likely the only [?] envelope that has survived from the time he lived in the Land of Israel during the late 19th century. Background: Elyakum Heinrich Loewe (1869-1951) was a philosopher, journalist, librarian and one of the first leaders of the Zionist Movement of Germany. In addition, he was one of the founders of the "Jewish-Russian Scientific Association of Berlin" (1889) and the "Association for Nurturing the Hebrew Language" (1891). In 1895, he visited the Land of Israel for the first time and in 1897, immigrated to it. He lived in Israel for several months and was then sent as its representative to the first Zionist Congress in Basel. Due to his Zionist activities, he did not return to the Land of Israel until 1933. The letter before us is from the several months he lived in the Land of Israel before he was sent to the Zionist congress. All letters and autographs of his are from the years he lived in Germany after the Congress or later, when he again lived in the Land of Israel. The letter is addressed to his brother Dr. Richard, who was partner to his Zionist activities and thought. Extremely rare! A letter sent from Meah She'arim, Jerusalem to Belgium – two Ottoman postage stamps of 1 piaster each with an addition of 20 Para as war fee [World War I] Postmarked by the postmark of Meah Shea'rim No. 1, on 2.5.1917. Various censor stamps including one of the Austrian Censor. On the reverse side, a postmark of Istanbul. Postmark of Meah Shearim No. 1, 1915 – a letter sent by Rabbi Yitzchak Danzig, one of the rabbis of Meah Shearim – most likely, an autograph. The letter was sent from Meah Shearim, Jerusalem to Copenhagen, Denmark – postage stamp of 20 Para with an addition of 20 Para as war fee [World War I. Postmarked by the postmark of Meah Shea'rim No. 1, on 5.1915. Postmark of Beirut on the reverse side and a nice stamp of the censor. Rabbi Yitzchak Danzig was one of the leading rabbis of Meah She'arim. He used to give sermons in a yeshiva in Meah She'arim and a synagogue in Zichron Moshe. Lot 175 - Postal history in Israel in the late 19th and early 20th centuries - king David Auction Auction 6 Special and rare items Wonderful Philatelic Postcard, 1901 – Postmarks of Four [!] Post Offices of Jerusalem: the French, the Ottoman, the Austrian and the Russian – One of a Kind! In 1901, a tourist arrived in Israel who was a collector of philately items. When he arrived in Jerusalem he sent a postcard with an Ottoman postage stamp and a postmark of the French post office of Jerusalem. However, as a true collector, he was not content with it and went to the Ottoman, Austrian and Russian post offices of Jerusalem, asking them to add their postmarks to the postcard, which they did. In addition, he added the postmark "R" of the registered mail of the Russian post office. This postmark is even rarer since according to the Bell Catalog, such a postmark is known only from ten years later! The postcard was sent from Jerusalem to Bulgaria.
