This publication was released on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Georges Rémi, known as Hergé.
It includes a sheet of stamps from the Belgian Post.
All these stamps are illustrated with the 24 covers of the books of "The Adventures of Tintin" with its title in a foreign language.
The centre stamp with the picture of Hergé is cancelled with the 1st day postmark of the date of issue of these stamps.

It was a one-off edition, numbered 463/3000 on the second white page opposite the stamps.

A nice set of various Asterix collector's items.

In September 2005, the Belgian Post issued several stamps to honour the most famous Gaul: Asterix. A wonderful opportunity to pay a well-deserved tribute to Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny. Naturally, this comes in the form of a new edition in the collection.

Contents: In addition to the fascinating and richly illustrated biographies of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, authored by Jean Auquier, this album also contains a short story about Asterix: De Mascotte. There is also a previously unpublished text by René Goscinny on travelling in Gaul, and an amusing and fascinating essay by Jean Auquier on Asterix, the Belgians and Belgium. The entire booklet is of course beautifully illustrated by the great virtuoso Albert Uderzo.
