KGV - Original old-time 1d Red massive 1.6kg on-paper accumulation, appear totally unchecked, strength in August 1914 to Dec 1915 era from a single correspondence to Gippsland Butter/Cheese Factory. A quick check revealed (sorted stamps separated) cds/pmks 21st July onwards inc Allansford Butter Factory (RRRR), Boolarra, Calulu (RRR), Iguana Creek, Mossiface, Nilma, Rosedale, Thorpedale, Yinnar plus TPOs & up & down. Numeral cancels 669, MD 13, 1652 & 2005 (RR). Shades from 1914 deep carmine red to aniline deep red inc semi-surfaced paper reddish pink Die II. Scans show only a very small part of what we saw. Amazing hoard with rich potential.
