Kofer Ha'Yishuv to Pay! An Extremely Rare Envelope – Certificate of Mintz
An envelope that was sent in Haifa during the Transition Period with a postage stamp of the JNF of 5 Mil. The envelope was postmarked by Minhelet Ha'Am of Haifa. The stamping lacks 10 Mil. Therefore, the envelope was stamped with the large 'T' stamp of Haifa. Two 5 Mil stamps of Kofer Ha'Yishuv were glued on the envelope as postage stamps! These stamps were cancelled with pencil by an X.
An extremely rare use of Kofer Ha'Yishuv stamps as postage stamps!
