Background:
During March-April 48 of the War of Independence, the postal services of Rishon Le'Zion were disrupted. On April 5, the council of Rishon Le'Zion decided to operate its own express postal service to and from Tel Aviv by means of armored vehicles. To pay for the service, a special postage stamp was issued which was designed by Chava Samuel. On the stamp there was an illustration of an armored vehicle and its price was 40 Mil.
