1951 incoming US compulsory taxation mail: SEP 29 1951 surface mailed Jewish charity stationary cover ex DULUTH to JERUSALEM franked 6c and marked on the cover "$1", probably indicating sender's self-declaration of the letter's contents; arrived 15-11-1951 and opened by censor whereupon charged a compulsory tax for having contained a check, banknotes or postage stamps valued at more than 500m (marked by static boxed cachet) whose fee was the equivalent of the period registration fee (25pr), and marked by R-label of the Rechavia BO; slit open at top. Rare postal mechanism.
