lot # 1 - collections and mixed lots

Sunday Sep 24, 2017 00:00 Europe/London

The complete British Commonwealth mint KGVI counter stock of a retired dealer, arranged in 38 stockbooks, with mounted on the left and unmounted on the right. Many listed shades and perfs appear to be correctly placed. Many areas represented (No GB) and with defin sets to top values, Silver Weddings throughout, UPU's, P.Dues, etc. Strong areas include North Borneo, Malaya/Singapore, Bermuda with numerous key plates, Falkland Is, Hong Kong and many others. Numerous high/top values throughout, running into the hundreds. The odd fault but mostly fine and fresh, and each book has been catalogued individually. We checked a couple and the cat values seem correct. Overall total cat is just under £275,000 and with a reserve of under 8% catalogue this must represent a great commercial opportunity for someone who can break down into small collections and one-country lots. Undoubtedly there is work involved, but easy profits are here. Please view and you will be "Impressed"! (see photos)

Estimate: £25000
