Palestine Forerunners Turkish Post - Camp Imperial Jerusalem. Superb strikes postmarks tied to x4  20 Para Turkish stamps. Paying Double rate on cover to Germany. Arrival postmark on back 17.11.1898. This is 1 out of 3 covers known to be mailed to abroad with double rate from Jerusalem camp Imperial. VF. Camp Imperial Jerusalem : A temporary branch post office and Telegraph station was set up for use of the German Kaiser and his staff during the Kaiser pilgrimage to the holy land, which he undertook Only for few days between October 29 1898 and November 2 1898. These offices were located in the vacinity of the German School, in the garden of the parsonage in Jerusalem. The area of the camp Imperial (Imperial residence) was near what is now the road of the Prophets, close to the ministry of Education. VF & rare exhibit quility showpeace.
