1840: "To be posted at the House of Commons only" / "Post Paid - ONE PENNY - Weight not to exceed ½ oz." printed envelope used to Bury St. Edmunds cancelled by Cowned London 'Paid' datestamp in red (March 10). Reverse with red wax seal intact (showing Crown over Lion). Slight horizontal crease but an extremely fine example of this very rare envelope Gi = £ 6'000.
