Austrian Post Office in Smirna 1870: Entire letter from Smirna to New York endorsed "via Liverpool per first steamer", struck on despatch with SMIRNE thimble cds of despatch (June 11) in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 10), struck on arrival with possible '9' handstamp in black and fine strike of Depreciated Currency marking "NEW YORK / 27 U.S. NOTES" in black (July 1). Scarce entire.
