1808/1863: Mixed group of documents (12) with French 1808 "Royaume de Naples" printed form with Marching Orders to travel to Corfu; 1815 "Bell's Weekly Messenger" Newspaper, 1820 entire letter accompanying a parcel from Venice to Corfu with "ISOLE / IONIE" handstamp in green and rated "8¼" oboli; 1834 Printed Notice for sailings between Trieste and Corfu with charges; 1838 bilingual "Gazzetta" weekly newspaper produced in Corfu (edition of 4 August); 1851 registration receipt for a registered letter from overseas (a huge charge of £11 3s. 11d.), 1852 document with large blue Pontifical States Consular handstasmp; rare 1856 registration receipt for a letter between Corfu and Santa Maura with two "Corfu" datestamps and circular "Posta Pagata"; 1863 engraved Bill of Lading from Malta for a ship destined for Cefalonia; 1863 Bill for the "Union of the Ionian Islands" presented to both Houses of Parliament original printing bound in blue, a most interesting selection - the registration receipts being rare; also two delightful 1840's engraved Maps of the archipelago.
