1841: 2 d. blue, plate 3, lettered HL, four margins but for just touching the very right edge of the lower right letter square, used on cover, from London to Edinburgh, dated 15 March 1844, tied by the distinctive London Number '8' Maltese Cross in black, the cover attractively written in blue ink. To the reverse a circular dispatch backstamp in black and an arrival cds in red (MAR 17). Has a central vertical filing fold well clear of adhesive. A scarce example Gi = £ 2'800.
