King Edward VIII 1936: King Edward VIII, photographic Essays (7) for proposed 2 d. value, stamp size in black and white, affixed to thick card (161 x 102 mm.), all utilising the three-quarter profile head from the unissued 2 d. scarlet, three of the designs being similar to this famous stamp, the other four with considerably more elaborate frames. Reverse marked "8A to 14A" and each Essay initialled and dated "7/5/36" in ink. Mentioned in Brusden White on page 6/23. Edward VIII abdicated on December 11, 1936.
