1840: 2 d. deep blue, pl. 1, lettered NB-NF, a used horizontal strip of five in a deep shade, good to large margins all round, showing portion of adjoing stamp below NB; the two adjoining stamps at right, NC and ND each with contemporary tiny scissor cuts at base, all tied by Maltese Crosses in black. NB with diagonal line through PE of PENCE and NC with re-entry (DS5b + DS5f). Reverse of folded piece with "Devizes" cds (July 15, 1841) in black.
