Postal Stationery 1910: Die Proof by Samuel Reading for the Postal Stationery 1 d. full face design, printed in deep blue on greyish thin wove paper (44 x 51 mm.), the design (the first commissioned for a Commonwealth of Australia postage stamp) was found in 1952 amongst the effects of Samuel Reading but rejected for the Kangaroo issue and adopted instead for the postal stationery cards and letter-cards.
