1920: Die Proof for the 1/4 d. value, printed on white wove paper (69 x 87 mm.), marked "5" at upper right and "B" at lower right in ink manuscript, one or two pinholes away from the design were held for comparison with the plate, cancelled by oval "RECORDS / 2-DEC 20 AM / MELBOURNE" datestamp in black. The only other Proof of this value extant, ex collection R. T. P. Chapman, now resides in the Australia Post Archival collection. Illustrated in Brusden White on page 4/364.
