1898/99: De La Rue Imperforate photographic composite Essay for 2½ a. value, with handpainted coloured flags above the central vignette and with the fancy border similarly handpainted in orange-red, Sultan's chest picked out in Chinese white, on card (90 x 115 mm.) lettered "BB" at top and dated "June 16th 98" in ink, marked "Dupl." in ink at lower left. This Essay was accepted on March 12, 1896. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP., on page 6566.
