Attempted Transatlantic Flight by Charles Ulm in his Avro X VH-UXX 'Faith in Australia' 1933 (July 27 - Oct.12): Envelope addressed to New York franked with three Australian adhesives, after disaster at Portmarnock's Velvet Strand (July 27.33), carried back (Oct. 12.33) on Ulm's record flight to Australia with inscription 'Per Faith of Australia / England - Australia' signed by Charles Ulm on lower left upon arrival and dispatched at "Sydney NSW 6 Nov. 33" to New York with arrival mark on reverse (Dec. 7, 33). Fine and scarce, one of only two items known.
