Incoming Mail 1874: South Australia 9 d. reddish-purple and 1868/76 1 d. green used on 1875 cover to Mauritius endorsed "via Aden", paying the under ½ ounce rate, tied by "GPO Adelaide" datestamps in black (Oct 9). Manuscript "4" British credit in red for the Maritime rate. Carried P&O "Nubia" to Galle, the "Australia" to Aden and French steamer "Godavery" to Mauritius. Reverse with "Aden Steamer Point" cds (Nov 8) and Mauritius arrival (Nov 20) in blue. Trivial aging and opening tear at base but a rare destination.
