1878: 25 c. on 6 d. slate-blue, a single and a horizontal pair used on 1878 cover to Bordeaux endorsed "via Suez & Marseille" tied by "B53" obliterators in black, paying the triple rate (above ½ and under 1 ounce). Carried by the French steamer "Godavery" to Aden and thence on the "Sindh" to Marseille. Reverse with Mauritius despatch cds in blue (Oct 10) and Bordeaux arrival (Nov 3). File fold away from the adhesives, a fine cover.
