1870: Cover to H. M. Ommaney in Neath, South Wales endorsed "per M.I." (Messageries Imperiales) at top, and further endorsed "Mauritius 26 Augt. 70, E.M.O." (Erasmus Molineux Ommaney 1814-1870, later an Admiral of the Fleet) at lower left, franked by Great Britain 1 d. red pl. 111 for the concessionary soldier's & sailor's rate but sadly un-cancelled. Probably carried on the French Packet "Danube" that left Mauritius for Aden on 26 August 1870. Ex Trevor Davis, Chris Rainey.
