1863/72: 1 d. brown used on Newspaper wrapper from Port Louis to Bordeaux endorsed "via Marseille" tied by "B53" obliterator in black. Struck with scarce "GB / 1F 80c." Accountancy marking in black (Salles fig. 3051, Van der Linden fig. 1617) in Mauritius and taxed on arrival with handstruck "15c." due marking applied in red. Carried on the "Norna" to Suez via Aden and thence on the "Massilia" from Alexandria to Marseille, with 'Cette a Bordeaux' cds on reverse (Sept 5). Rare.
