Seafarer Atlantic Record Flight' 1933 (July 22/23): Stampless legal size envelope carried on the flight from Pendine Sands, Wales to New York, by Amy Johnson and her husband Jim Mollison, on July 23 the plane 'Seafarer' was forced to land in a swamp near Bridgeport, Connecticut, after running low on fuel, signed by both pilots with type-written note on reverse: "This letter was recovered from the marsh at Bridgeport .....crashed in the 'Seafarer' July 23rd.1933 after successfully crossing the North Atlantic from Wales, New York City July 27th 1933".
