Rough perforation 14 to 16 1861/70: (½ d.) blue-green, rough perforation 14 to 16, an unused block of sixty-three (9 x 7) showing a complete impression of the paper-maker's double lined watermark "MORBEY & SAUNDERS 1840". Perkins Bacon usually used paper supplied from Rush, Mills & Co. of Northampton, therefore this paper must have been utilised as a result of an error or the usual supplier had temporarily run short. The block hinged for protection but with thirty stamps unmounted og. This block is mentioned in an article in 'The London Philatelist' of September 1916 by Dr. E.W. Floyd.
