Recess by Perkins Bacon 1858: 6 d. deep rose-red, two used examples each with good to large margins all round, lightly tied to 1860 yellow enevlope miled at double rate to London endorsed 'p.Mail' by partial strikes of the "1" obliterator of Bridgetown with 'Barbadoes' double arc cds on reverse (Oct 25). 'London / Paid' arrival cds (Nov 16) in red on obverse with '10' (pence) credit in red manuscript. Superb and extremely rare. Cert.
