1938: Waterlow Pictorial issue, Essay for the proposed 5 s. value 'Map of the Islands', hand-painted in scarlet and pale blue with blue ink surrounding the islands, printed George VI head-plate superimposed and lettering and value in Chinese white on card (140 x 88 mm.) in horizontal format, an unaccepted design, painted by the designer A. W. Morley and endorsed 'Antigua 11.4.38' in manuscript at top and marked as 'Not Approved' at lower right. Superb and unique.rnProvenance: Grosvenor, London, 6-7 Oct 2010, lot 1018.
