1938: Waterlow Pictorial issue, Essay for the proposed 5 s. value 'Map of the Islands', hand-painted in scarlet and pale blue with blue ink surrounding the islands, printed George VI head-plate superimposed and lettering and value in Chinese white on card (140 x 88 mm.) in horizontal format, an unaccepted design, painted by the designer A.
