1931, registered cover from BOMBAY G.P.O. to FLEURIER/Suisse with rare red META MARK of 2 a. and 4 a. showing the serial number 3 of Bombay, embossed on reverse NATIONAL BANK OF INDIA., a rule of the U.P.U. congress held in Madrid in 1920 was that meter franking must be uniformly in red, the Indian G.P.O. did not enforce this until 1929, very rare and attractive, VF!.
