France 1871 - Boule de Moulins d'Orange for Paris posted by a pink 80 c and a burgundy 20 c Empire Laurel wreath - Yvert 32 and 45.
Boule de Moulins with a rare stamping80 centimes Empire laurel wreath and 20 centimes issued from Bordeaux type II short margin at top and presence of a neighbouring stamp to the left. Cancelled by a large diamond shape numbered 2730 of Orange on a letter with a beautiful correspondence from Orange to Paris. On the front is the date cachet, type 17 from 4 January 1871 2nd pickup (very pretty strike). Stamp is B quality, normal for the Boules de Moulins.
