1899 Postal stationery envelope 2c. violet used REGISTERED from Montreal to Basle, Switzerland via London in 1902, uprated definitives 1c, 2c and 5c plus Jubilee 5c (= 15c in total), all tied by weak strikes of "REGISTERED MONTREAL/AU 21/1902" c.d.s., adhesives also tied by pen-strokes, with "R" oval h/s and London oval transit dater in red on front, Montreal despatch c.d.s. and Basel '1.IX.02' arrival dater on the reverse. A fine used and attractive example of this scarce p/s envelope.
