1855/1892 ca., interesting and valuable collection with ca.70 used entires with company franks, comprising envelopes in different denominations, colours and sizes, included are various company postmarks, i.a. from Bakersfield, Carson City, Eureka, Fresno, Kernville, Stockton, Tehama etc., unaddressed envelopes (paste-up use), 'Columbian issue' franks, combinations of W.F.&Co. franks with "Bamber & Co Contra Costa Express", furthermore two 3 C pink 'Nesbitt' envelopes with red 'ribbon' franks 'Pacific Union Express Co.', two examples 2 C brown (U227) with scarce illustrated train and globe frank 'Pacific Express Co., Paid.' and many other specialities.
