1927/28, Military Mail, Shanghai Defence Force, F.P.O. 3: 1928 (29 Sep) envelope to Shoreham/Sussex, bearing Great Britain 1½d., tied by "Field Post Office/3" c.d.s.. F.P.O. 3 was in use with the 14th Brigade at Hyams Gardens, Shanghai from April to Sept. 1927. Webb reported the cancellation to have been used in 1928 at Yu Yuen Road Camp, Shanghai (although he noted no 1928 letters from there had then been found), while Proud reports 1928 dates for the cancellation. Fine and scarce. - Also F.P.O. 1: 1927 (3 Sep) same, envelope to Stanley Gibbons/London tied by "Field Post Office/1" c.d.s. Two covers.
