1870-71 BALLON MONTÉ: Correspondence of 24 letters and postcards all from Paris to Monsieur Decauville, mostly in Petit Bourg near Corbeil, Seine et Oise, few to Villers sur Mer, Calvados, from September 1870 to January 1871, almost all flown by Ballon Monté, with various frankings including rare Napoleon 20c. IMPERF (Jan. 1871 letter), or a privately carried letter from a soldier, franked privately with Great Britain QV 3d. cancelled 'Decauville' in m/s, specials like postcards endorsed 'Par ballon libre', or a printed 12 Nov. 1870 'Lettre-Journal Gazette des Absents', also with tax/charge marks incl. handstamp "20" in blue, printed letter sheets, and many details more, especially almost all with interesting historic contents with some details of the Prussian-French War.
