1851-54 The 4 R.B.S. brown: Collection of 36 stamps and 6 covers from various printings by Ferslew and Thiele, all tied by numeral or mute ring handstamps, with numerals from "1" to "92", including specials like very fine 4 R.B.S. pair with "41" of Maribo, a 4 R.B.S. "Ferslew 1²" chocolate (Pl. I No. 16 with unretouched design but retouched crown), a piece with a Copenhagen (Kassebrev) KB 'Compass' datestamp, covers from Copenhagen, Friedrichstadt (bearing 4 R.B.S. with paperfold), Nakskov, Rønne, Haderslev (to Schleswig) and a shipletter Copenhagen-Aalborg per ship "Iris", and few others like 1868 8s. with scarce Swedish "Södra-St. Banan" railway deatestamp. Almost all stamp are fine/very fine, many signed or with certificate. A fine and interesting collection, accompanied by eight handbooks as "The Postage Stamps of Denmark" by Schmidt-Andersen or three books for plating the 4 R.B.S. and others).
