1954-68 VIETNAM: Specialized collection of 34 covers plus stamps (unmounted mint) depicting the postal history of the Indian contingent of the International Commission for Vietnam, with mail from the Field Post Office "743" at Hanoi (covers, registered mail, FDCs etc. to Germany or India), incoming mail as an official cover of the Raja of Kurundwad, Junior State and another cover from the Maratha Light Infantry (F.P.O. 712) both to Major General D.S. Brar of the Regiment in Hanoi (both in 1956), many registered covers (and FDCs) from the Hanoi F.P.O. to Germany, covers with interesting frankings as mixed frankings of the resp. optd. stamps with 'normal' Indian stamps (several not accepted), few covers to India and the U.S.A., the issued stamps and other items like an announcement booklet for the 1968 issue. A fascinating and specialized collection with a lot of unusual and scarce covers. (Original part of the Klewitz collection.)
