1847 5c. dark brown used on entire from New York to New Haven, Connecticut cancelled by red circle of bars and tied by fine strike of "NEW-YORK/2/JUN/5 cts." cds in red. The stamp with four even wide margins, the letter with vertical folds just left of stamp and (a weak one) at right (not affecting stamp). An attractive No.1 letter.
