One picture postcard 'Cross Bay' with 10 ore Norway and postmark 'Magdalenenbucht Spitzbergen' via 'Tromsö 16.8.12' (early machine postmark) to Germany, and one picture postcard 'Hvalfiske and catcher, Spitsbergen' with 20 ore plus 5 ore and postmark 'Advent Bay 23.VIII.1924, postage due postmark '30 cts' and handwritten blue '20' (postage due in Germany) to St. Blasien / Black Forest. (tiny corner crease). Both cards used as needed. Additionally in this lot: Spitsbergen stamp 'Polar bear in escutcheon' (Kardel/Trögel #16) in a horizontal pair with oval Spitsbergen cancel.
