1701-2000(ca.) - "THE EVOLUTION OF SEAGOING SAILING SHIPS": Exhibition collection on 112 pages with English description in two albums, including pre-philatelic covers, Mulready and later postal stationeries (incl. uprated Hawaii envelope used in 1895 to Germany), scarce early covers, most attractive telegrams and airgraphs, covers and cards from China to Scandinavia (1915/1919/1921), specials like 1931 Zeppelin cover from Iceland (franked by Iceland Zeppelin stamps), and a lot of mint and used stamps from early to modern issues, and related cancellations incl. meter marks. In addition a folder with several essays, proofs, signed Epreuve de Luxe, and four preliminary artist's drawings for Italian 1965 stamps (Sismondo certificates). Plus a stockbook with more than 120 proofs and SPECIMEN of stamps and souvenir sheets, from old to modern.
