1867, 3 Sk lilac, very fine tied by clear Swedish Railway cancellation "SÏDRA ST. BANAN 1/6/1867" on fresh printed matter written in Copenhagen, Denmark and sent to Carlskrona (Karlskrona) Sweden. The cover was carried by SHIP MAIL to Malmö where the stamp was cancelled by the scarce Swedish railway postmark. According to the K.Jensen census a normal usage is rated as R3, but probably ONLY A HAND FULL ARE KNOWN WITH SWEDISH SHIP MAIL CANCELS all from the same correspondence. VERY RARE BALTIC SEA SHIP MAIL (Ostsee Schiffpost).
The Facit catalogue price of 6000 Skr for a single franking is for normal usage with a standard Denmark postmark. For a rare usage with Swedish postmark it should in all logic catalogue + 100% or 12000 SEK. Certificate Möller.
