1940/1947, POW-MAIL WWII: comprehensive collection with ca.110 covers/cards and postal stationeries, comprising 6d blue POW airmail postcard (BW POW1, 4 items) and 1s blue POW airmail letter-sheet (BW POW2, 9 items) including varieties ("Gefanderer" instead of "Gefangenen" on the reverse, Bakker type 7.1), furthermore numerous preprinted POW notelopes with various printing dates. Many notelopes and postcards with additional franking for airmail service (6d or 1s), one postcard uprated with 2 x 1s for airmail service to USA. Also included and used for POW mail are 7d KGVI air-letters, scarce destinations (Peru etc.), Red Cross envelopes, pictorial postcards (Koala) and other specialities. Highly recommended postal history source with plenty of interesting material in mostly F/VF condition.
