1913/1940 ca., QUEENSLAND DATESTAMPS ON COMMONWEALTH STAMPS, very comprehensive collection with ca.870 stamps, comprising a vast and attractive array of mostly different postmarks from places in Queensland. The collection is sorted by alphabet from A-Z, presenting numerous cancellations from smaller places as well as the different types of datestamps that have been used and exchanged over the years.
Included are many scarce and valuable postmarks with ratings from R to RRRR according to the T.Dell and D.Price 'Queensland Steel Datestamps' catalogue, i.a. 19 items rated RR: ANYARROW, BIBOOHRA, BLAIR ATHOL, CABOONBAH, CALLIDE, CRAWFORD, DAPPIL, FRIEZLAND, GOONDOON, HAMPDEN, KOORBOORA, MINGELA, MT.DARRY, PRAIRIE, RAVENSWOOD JUNCTION, STANNARY HILLS, TAABINGA VILLAGE, TYLERVILLE and WIYARRA; 9 items rated RRR: BAJOOL, BATAVIA, CAPE YORK, FINCH HATTON, KOMINE, MOGGILL, MT.SHAMROCK, RATHDOWNIE and TENT HILL; furthermore 6 items with highest rating RRRR: BAMFORD, BOYNEDAL, HODGLEIGH, McGREGOR JUNCTION, MURRAYS CREEK and TAMBOURINE.
