Our next Coins & Banknotes Auction will now take place at 12 noon on Friday 2nd June 2017.

There are  3885 lots catering for all types of collectors with varying types of interests and budgets. There are many desirable single items as well as collections and mixed lots. Items range from $30 to $50,000  so there's something for everybody. 

This catalogue contains  a great selection of  Australian coins including Australian Shipwrecks, Proclamation coins, Dump and Adelaide Assay Office Coins, Gold Sovereigns and Half-Sovereigns, pre-decimal coins and Proofs,  RAM , Perth Mint and NPA products. There are many highlights in the Australian Coins including an Australian 1921 KGV Square Kookaburra 1d pattern in Cupro Nickel 4.5g. Golden-grey tone UNC. McD type 12, Ren type 11. A similar coin in gEF sold for $25000+ comm in auction 228. Very rare. Reserve $23,500 (Lot  5093). This auction also includes  3 Australian 1930 Pennies from grades Fine to gFine. Reserves are  $17,000, $15,000 and $18,000 . (Lots 5436,5437,5438).  In the Australian Banknotes section, include Pre-Federation, Pre-decimal, decimal, Starnotes, Varieties  Including a range of rare Misprints. This sale includes a rare £10 Cerutty-Collins 701001W with Green/Purple/ Green reverse. R.52c. Good colour & edges, a dozen tiny pinholes which are only visible when held to a bright light, VF. Very rare. McD cat $58,000.  Reserve $20,000 (Lot 9600).    

World coins and banknotes, including Gold, silver and copper coins, medals and World Banknotes   In the World Coins is a   New Zealand  1935 KGV Waitangi 5/- proof. Slabbed PCGS PR64. Most attractive, KM-6. NZ cat $16,000. RARE. Reserve    $6,000 (Lot 7716).  Also  in the world banknote section is  a   Southern Rhodesia £10 QEII undated (15-4-1953) serials E/1 000000 Specimen Colour Trial without sig opt SPECIMEN in red, punch hole cancels through sig panel. Front green & multicolour back brown & multicolour.VF, small margin repairs.P-15act. Very rare. TBB cat issued note US$10,500. Reserve $2,500   ( Lot 7485).
