Sicily, Leontinoi. Silver Tetradrachm (17.2 g), ca. 425-420 BC. Laureate head of Apollo right; behind, ivy spray. Reverse LE-ON-TI-N-ON, lead of roaring lion right; around, three barley grains and mullet. Boehringer 62; SNG ANS 254 (same dies); Basel 354 (same dies). Fine style and lightly toned. Very Fine.
