Sicily, Akragas. Silver Hemidrachm (2.1 g), ca. 410-406 BC. Eagle right, head lowered to devour hare held in talons; in left field, barley-corn. Reverse A-[K-R]-A, crab; below, ketos swimming left, devouring fish. SNG ANS 1012-3; SNG Lloyd 825; HGC 2, 105. Well struck, perfectly centered and excellent metal. Lustrous and lightly toned, marvelous little jewel. Superb Extremely Fine.
