Wednesday Oct 25, 2017 20:00 Asia/Jerusalem

Egyptian postal boycott of Israel: 2 ppc's ex HAVANA to KIBBUTZ LEHAVOT HAVIVA c. 1961 - both franked 3c, but on one the 2c frank came off & ppc taxed (this pmk'd 3 APR 1961); both misrouted via EGYPT (probably placed into incorrect mailbag at origin sorting office), there censored by K-Type7 h/s (#75) & marked by Egyptian "PAS DE SERVICE" K-Type-II IM and returned; these resent & now tied by Israeli IM K-Type-M1.1 ("Letter delayed in one of the Arab countries..."). The PD was paid using 8Ag zodiac frank is only known example of taxed Egypt-stamped "no service" IM mail - ironic as IM is Egyptian too.
