Postkrieg Egyptian-intercepted mail to Israel: 6 DEC 1954 a/m cv ex SYDNEY to "NACHLAT YITZHAK" (TLV but not written), franked 2S per airmail rate & tied by local machine slogan cancel; cv was to be sent via S. Africa-UK-France (as of 1950; prior to that via Suez, but mail seized by Egypt) but misrouted via EGYPT, where opened/resealed using K-Type-C label (tied by K-Type6) & tied by K-Type5 (#98) censor h/s in red (this rare) + K-Type5 (#79) - unusual double censor; m/s-marked "no service | to origin", and returned to sender (per Ar. m/s "Send it back to the sender, 19/2" [1955]), where received at DLO. This cv part of 1 known shipment in Dec. 1954 misrouted to Egypt.
