Jordanian post-1967 War "no service" mail to Israel affecting Arabian mail: 14 DEC 67 a/m cv ex ADEN ("Federation of South Arabia" now Dem. Rep. YEMEN as of 30 Nov.) to J'LEM (no country indicated), franked 40 Fils & tied by local machine cancel; routed via JORDAN where b/s'd [unclear] DEC 67 transit: with locale now held by Israel, as of Sept. '67 Jordan held back all mail destined to former Jordanian territories newly held by Israel, in AMMAN - and released it back to sender en masse 13 months later (Sept. '68), after applying Eng. "Return to Sender | Delivery Prevented by Enemy Occupation of Jordad(sic) Territory" IM K-Type-Va h/s; cv apparently resent (possibly via forwarding service in UK) as bilingual HE/AR Israeli postal IM K-Type-M5 label applied, indicating delayed delivery & requesting in future that address be written as "Jerusalem. Israel"; recipient noted in m/s that this received Dec. 1968 - a year after original dispatch. Only known period example of Arabian-originating mail to Israel, refused service by Jordan.
