Jordanian post-1967 War "no service" mail to Israel: 26 MAY 1968 surface mailed cv ex LAKES ENTRANCE Australia to "JORDAN & JERUSALEM", franked 7c & tied by 2 strikes of local pmk; destination was now in Israel but cv routed to JORDAN per address, where b/s 25 AUG 68 AMMAN arr. & marked by both K-Type-Va & Vb (En. & Ar.) "no service" IM h/s on front and returned to sender; cv resent & received 5-11-68 J'LEM (b/s) where attached w/bilingual He/Ar Isr. mimeograph K-Type-M4 on back "this postal item was received only now after having been initially misrouted. To prevent similar delays in the future please inform the sender to write VIA ISRAEL in the address" - this is earliest J'lem recept date w/type M4 or M5 mimeograph (of which hundreds known).
