Iranian postal boycott of Israel: c. OCT 1986 a/m cv ex TEHERAN to Arab business HEBRON "Israel/West Bank", franked 45R & tied by unclear machine cancel; as postal relations w/Isr. "officially" suspended late 1982, cv marked by rare Farsi IM h/s K-Type-III "BACK TO SENDER | THERE IS NO POSTAL SERVICE CONNECTION" + Iranian censor (#7) cachet & returned to sender, b/s'd 28 NOV 1986 arr. This is the only cv known with this "no service" Type-III marking in Farsi (possibly used only on domestically originating mail), obtained from former emigre who subsequently left. Vert. fold.
