1933 May 9. CASABLANCA TO BELGIUM. On a flight from Casablanca to Toulouse, the Latécoère 28 took off from the airfield at Barcelona for Perpignan. Climbing through thick clouds the plane struck a house in the village of Villadrau (1700m) near Villa Grande. The crew and 3 passengers were killed. A violet or black cachet was applied, and badly burned mail was forwarded in service covers.
